Hemoglobin from the damaged red blood cells is broken in parts causing bile secretions
GERD:
This may also refer to severe heartburn. As the valve between the gut and esophagus becomes weak, it allows the stomach acids to reflux, into the esophagus causing irritation and inflammation. This results in pain in the chest that makes a person feel uncomfortable.
ESOPHAGEAL VARICES:
Bulging and engorged veins in esophagus walls come as a result of complicated chronic alcoholism. The swollen and thin-walled veins create a risk of the severe tear and fatal bleeding.
DIVERTICULOSIS/DIVERTICULITIS:
Some small pouches may form in large intestine walls leading to discomfort to the patients, and this is called diverticulosis. This abnormal out pocketing may not be able to collect and empty fecal materials hence leading to inflammation, diverticulosis.
CIRRHOSIS:
This is a degenerative disease of the liver, and it is prevalent in chronic alcoholics, but it can also have other causes.
DYSPHAGIA:
This medical problem poses difficulty in swallowing. It is related to GERD, esophagus tumor, or other many causes.
PORTAL HYPERTENSION:
This is a complication that results from chronic alcoholism, and it leads to damage to the liver and obstructs blood flow to the liver.
CROHN DISEASE:
This is an inflammatory disease that affects the bowel. It has the following symptoms, weight loss, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. It can also cause rectal bleeding that may lead to anemia.
